Great report, some very interesting information there.
Once again, the most telling information is the info that is LEFT OUT of the QEN.
Examples:
The ISK amount per character per environment (0.0. lowsec, highsec) is shown as an *average*. This doesn't show how much wealth is concentrated in how many accounts per environment. While the average amount of wealth is similar between lowsec/highsec, I think that if we looked at the peak values of ISK per account and just how concentrated the wealth is in the various environments, we'd see a different picture.
T3- CCP insists on lumping in T3 with T2 to hide it's microscopic usage numbers. It's just as easy to separate the T3 numbers as it is to lump them into T2 stats. Once again CCP ensures that they don't include anything really interesting in the QEN, just enough middle of the road info to appease the masses.
Ship usage comparisons- comparing every ship in Eve against each other is irrelevant. Compare like with like- BS with BS, BCs with BCs etc. Not Hulks vs. Kestrels vs. Dominixes. Such stats are meaningless.
How about a graph showing amount of ISK per account, with the vertical axis showing the number of accounts with that much ISK in them? And then show the same graph split into highsec, lowsec and 0.0?
I do find it interesting to note just how much production is being handled by BPO holders. Pretty surprising really. I would have hoped that it would be a far smaller portion by now. It's clearly time to turn those BPOs into 10k run BPCs and be done with them.
I noticed much attention was given to the Rook and Falcon. What about ships like the Astarte and Eos? How have the game changes affected their sales over the last year?
I see ships like the Drake, Raven and Nighthawk are all at the top of the list, both in their respective classes and overall in the game. Clearly their popularity reflects some sort of superiority in the game, otherwise the player population wouldn't be endorsing them so completely.
I find CCP's lumping of all T2 ammunition production into one lump a total joke. Let's break down the T2 ammunition production by type shall we? How much of that is Barrage M? How much is Scourge Fury? What about all the rest of the T2 ammo production and consumption?
The data comes close to being meaningful but once again falls short of showing any real value or information. -- Bellum Eternus Inveniam viam aut faciam.
